The cost a shitload of money. I don't even want to calculate how much I've spent on cigars over the last 8 and 1/2 years lol. It's not $10,000. It's tens of thousands of dollars easy haha. Easy come easy go.

The money didn't go to waste. I literally have 211 cigars left in my collection. It's not even much of a collection. Half a box of 20th, a couple of monsters, some placencia and some El mago. I actually found a rocky Patel cargo, which was the first box I ever bought. Fuçking 8 and 1/2 years ago bro lol.

Not just the cost though. My old lady doesn't like it. Of course, she might not be sticking around much longer anyways, which is another part of it. If she does stick around, I told her I'd quit. If she doesn't, I could Probably could use the money for things like security deposits on two-bedroom apartments. That's not a done deal but I can see the clouds on the horizon.

Also starting a new job in October, so going to save up some dough so I can do all the things I need to do for that.

When I was brand new and my only point of reference was when I used to smoke cigarettes i liked just about everything I got ahold of but couldn’t really tell what flavors came from where. Nowadays I’m definitely preferring the milder cigars most of the time, but it got me thinking. Is it just my palate changing from experience? I fully expected my preference to change to fuller cigars rather than milder, could some of my cigars just age poorly?(I wouldn’t think under a year would make much difference) or could it be due to the weather? I know when I was a drinker I used to prefer a cool corona in the summer and stouts in the winter.

Do you guys prefer certain types of cigars certain times of the year? Do your preferences continue to shift every so often? Am I gonna like this 3/4 box of MF The Judges at some point again?

Currently, I'm just brainstorming my dream backyard cigar lounge to have at least a humidor cabinet, bar stand and seats, liquor rack, an active vent to pull the fumes out, at least two leather sofas, and a split AC/Heat for temperature. Hopefully, insulation as well. This build will require electrical permit, building permit, and probably a plumbing permit, might as well toss a crapper in there so you don't have to run to the house for anything. The building design to be wide octagonal (not sure why, but that popped in my mind). Almost like a cigar gentlemen's club, just the boys and whoever else smokes the cigars. That would be nice.

I'm about to travel to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and found this place called Cigar Country, got a nice lounge and good reviews. Cigar Country chain is only located in DR. Not a tourist trap, unlike the other one, Don Lucas. The prices seem standard, no significant markups. I just want to see if I can find any cigars not located in the states. Anyone went there?

Then Cigars International in PA but everyone knows where those are.
